MONICA is a Mexican American Illustrator with focus in Character and Concept Design. Also known as MONILIZA™; a combination of her first and middle name. Born and raised in sunny California, with a passion to create imagination into reality with her illustrations.

Graduated from Otis College of Art and Design with a BFA in Fine Arts while majored in Fashion Design. Professionally worked 16 + years across multiple careers such as fashion design, graphic design, toy design, and is now a committed full-time Freelance Illustrator.

While working along with clients to create innovative ideas, she is also working on Metziverse a passion project under her brand MONILIZA™. A Sci-Fi Fantasy comic book based on original characters name Metzi and Sola; inspired by Mexican Mythology and her love for astrology.
